Duelo de ortografía

Duelo de ortografía is a Spanish spelling game for the interactive whiteboard. The buttons appear in English, but the words, sentences and rule explanations are in Spanish, so it suits bilingual schools and Spanish lessons. The screen splits in two, both teams get the same series of challenges, and the first to reach the target score wins.

How to play it in class

  1. Open the game on the interactive whiteboard or a tablet and choose the year: the spelling rules change automatically.
  2. Pick the difficulty and, if you like, the time per round and the points needed to win (5, 8 or 12).
  3. Put one team on each side of the screen, or let one child play solo.
  4. Each team taps its answer on its own half; after every round the right spelling is marked and the rule is shown.
  5. The first team to reach the target score wins.

Ways to play

In teams, at the same time

The screen splits in two and each team plays on its own half at the same time.

For one player

One child plays on the whole screen at their own pace: on the whiteboard, a computer or a tablet.
