Classic tic-tac-toe with a challenge in every square. On a 3 x 3 board each square shows a calculation; the team whose turn it is picks one, solves it on the number pad and, if the answer is right, marks it with its initial. Three in a row wins, and if the board fills up, the team with more squares wins.

The most demanding work for the year: percentages in Year 5, mixed operations with brackets in Year 6.
Either the turn passes and the square stays free, or the square goes to the other team.
