Piano

The sheet music sits at the top, with a stave, treble clef and note values, and below it a keyboard with the same notes and colours. Children listen to the song, then play it note by note: the game waits for the right key and a bouncing circle marks the next one. There are 52 traditional or public-domain songs across six levels.

How to play it in class

  1. Choose the level (0 to 5) or let the game pick one for the year group; under Songs, choose a song or filter by theme: Children's songs, Christmas, Classical or Exercises.
  2. Press Listen to hear it all the way through while the keys light up.
  3. Play it note by note, and switch off Names, Colours and Guide as children learn it.
  4. Turn on In time to play along with the metronome, first with Slow.
  5. Taking turns, both teams play the same song and the one with fewer mistakes wins; on your own, each song earns up to three stars.

Ways to play

In teams, taking turns

Both teams share the board and play one after the other.

For one player

One child plays on the whole screen at their own pace: on the whiteboard, a computer or a tablet.

Frequently asked questions

Do children need to read music?

No. With Names, Colours and Guide on, they just follow the key the game marks. With all three off, they play from the sheet music.

Does it help with rhythm?

Yes: In time plays a count-in and a metronome, and the song moves on by itself. A bar under each note shows how long to hold the key.

Is it free?

You can play 5 free games without signing up. After that, a one-off payment of €9.99 unlocks all 78 games for ever, on all your devices. There is no subscription.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It opens in the browser of the interactive whiteboard, panel, computer, tablet or iPad. Once loaded, it also works offline.
