Greater, less or equal

An educational game for comparing numbers on the interactive whiteboard. In a forest stand three archery targets, each with its sign: >, = and <. Below, a wooden board shows the comparison, for example 93 ? 95. Each team shoots the target with the sign that fills the gap, and the first correct shot wins the point.

How to play it in class

  1. Open the game and choose the year group and difficulty. In the settings you can also set numbers up to 10, 20, 100 or 1000.
  2. Name the two teams or play solo. Both teams see the same comparison.
  3. Read the board and tap the target with the right sign. The arrow whistles and the sign turns green in the gap.
  4. With the wrong sign, the target shows the mistake and the team can shoot again. The first correct answer takes the point.
  5. The first team to reach the target score wins.

Ways to play

In teams, at the same time

The screen splits in two and each team plays on its own half at the same time.

For one player

One child plays on the whole screen at their own pace: on the whiteboard, a computer or a tablet.

Frequently asked questions

Does the equals sign come up too?

Yes. With two numbers, now and then both are the same and the answer is the = target. With additions and subtractions it appears when both results match.

What are the calculations like?

Each side has one calculation, such as 12 + 7 ? 25 − 4, and the results are compared. The numbers in each calculation go up to half the chosen limit, and subtractions never go below zero.

Do teams lose points for a wrong answer?

No. The target shows the mistake, a hint reminds them to check which is greater, and the team can shoot again.

Is it free?

You can play 5 free games without signing up. After that, a one-off payment of €9.99 unlocks all 78 games for ever, on all your devices. There is no subscription.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It opens in the browser of the interactive whiteboard, panel, computer, tablet or iPad. Once loaded, it also works offline.
