The double-entry table

The double-entry table is a sorting game for the interactive whiteboard or a tablet. Every piece has its own square, right where its row and its column meet. The headings are pictures (colour patches, shapes, animals, dots and sizes), so no reading is needed. Children place pieces, choose the one for a square, fill in the whole table or spot mistakes.

Goes up

Starts at 1 and goes up a level every two challenges.

How to play it in class

  1. Open the game and choose the year group and difficulty. Under More options you can fix the level, the voice and the points to win: 3, 5 or 8.
  2. In teams, each works on its own half with the same tables; it can also be played solo.
  3. Tap the piece's square or drag the piece there. The yellow corner repeats the instruction.
  4. After a mistake, the right row and column light up. Each challenge completed is a point and the first team to the target wins.

Ways to play

In teams, at the same time

The screen splits in two and each team plays on its own half at the same time.

For one player

One child plays on the whole screen at their own pace: on the whiteboard, a computer or a tablet.

Frequently asked questions

Do children need to read?

No. The headings are pictures and, with the voice on, the game reads the instruction and says where the piece goes after a mistake.

What table sizes are there?

From 2x2 at level 1 up to 4x4 at level 5, with 2x3, 3x3 and 3x4 in between.

What happens if a piece goes in the wrong square?

The right row and column light up and the game says where it goes, so the mistake is fixed straight away.

Is it free?

You can play 5 free games without signing up. After that, a one-off payment of €9.99 unlocks all 78 games for ever, on all your devices. There is no subscription.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It opens in the browser of the interactive whiteboard, panel, computer, tablet or iPad. Once loaded, it also works offline.
