The mirror

The mirror is a symmetry game for the interactive whiteboard or a tablet. On one side of the mirror there is a picture on a grid, and children paint the other half as its reflection, tapping each square or dragging a finger. When it is finished, the game names it: a butterfly, an owl, a rocket, a boat on the water, a snowflake...

How to play it in class

  1. Open the game and choose the year group and difficulty. Under More options you set the level, the voice and the points to win: 3, 5 or 8.
  2. In teams, each paints the same pictures on its own half; one child can also play solo.
  3. Pick the colour, if there is more than one, and tap or drag across the squares on the empty side.
  4. If a square should be blank or another colour, it turns red and its twin lights up. Each finished picture is a point and the first team to the target wins.

Ways to play

In teams, at the same time

The screen splits in two and each team plays on its own half at the same time.

For one player

One child plays on the whole screen at their own pace: on the whiteboard, a computer or a tablet.

Frequently asked questions

Is the mirror always vertical?

No. From level 4 it can stand up or lie down, and level 5 brings two mirrors at once.

What if they paint the wrong square?

It turns red, its twin on the other side of the mirror lights up and a hint explains the mistake.

Can they paint by dragging a finger?

Yes. They can tap square by square or slide a finger across several in a row.

Is it free?

You can play 5 free games without signing up. After that, a one-off payment of €9.99 unlocks all 78 games for ever, on all your devices. There is no subscription.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It opens in the browser of the interactive whiteboard, panel, computer, tablet or iPad. Once loaded, it also works offline.
