What comes next? is a pattern game for the interactive whiteboard or a tablet. A necklace appears with a repeating pattern and a gap, and three or four beads wait below. Children work out what repeats, then tap the right bead or drag it into the gap. When they get it right, the pattern moves on one step with a short animation.

Two things taking turns (AB).
Patterns of three: AAB, ABB and ABC.
Patterns of four (AABB, ABCD, ABAC); sometimes the gap is in the middle.
Growing patterns, turning arrows, and colour and shape changing together.
Two gaps, or find the wrong bead and tap it.
Starts at 1 and goes up a level every two correct answers.
The screen splits in two and each team plays on its own half at the same time.
One child plays on the whole screen at their own pace: on the whiteboard, a computer or a tablet.
Yes. The beads are shapes and animals, with no letters, and with the voice on the game reads the instruction aloud.

No. Each challenge is checked when it is made: only one bead fits and the pattern is shown at least twice before the gap.
